Shoe Boxes

Thank you to all those who supported our shoe box appeal for 2009.  

This year, 2010, we are continuing to fill shoe boxes for families including food boxes, hygiene boxes, baby boxes etc so please contact the office on 02891813845 for more details and for your shoe box.  All boxes to be sent to us no later than end of September for sending out in the container in October. Recipe Books are still available.  Through the sale of this book we are trying to raise support for our orphan projects in Central & Southern Africa. Missions Weekend
Mission Sunday & Walk for Africa

On Missions Sunday 20th June we remembered our colleagues who lost their lives in The Vumba Massacre, Rhodesia, in 1978. 

We also held our "Walk for Africa" event throughout the month of June.  All money raised at this event will go to help build a hospital theatre in Zimbabwe. If you still have money from the walk, please send into the office asap.

Missions is an important aspect of the ministry of the Elim Pentecostal Churches in Ireland who raise in excess of 450,000 annually for missions. Central & Southern Africa are the main focus of our missions

Short Term Trips
Youth & Summer Teams

Summer 2009 saw teams travel to Swaziland, Mozambique and later on in the year to Zimbabwe and Malawi to work with orphan projects and get involved in street evangelism. Encouraging reports have been received and God truly blessed, encouraged and challenged the teams.

2010 will see more summer teams head to Malawi, Swaziland and South Africa along with a ladies team in mid September.  Places are now full but if you areinterested in being part of a team in 2011 please

Work Teams
Use your skills

A work team of 14 men travelled to Zimbabwe in March to help refurbish the hospital at our mission site.  This team consisted of electricians, painters, plumbers, builders etc.  A 2nd team of 10 then flew out mid April to use their expertise and professional skills to assist the local church and people at our mission station in Katerere also to help refurbish the primary school.
