Worship and Evangelism by Jack McKee While worship is desired by God and is welcomed and appreciated by Him, evangelism is in the heart of God. For even before there was a sin problem there was a solution; before there was a sinner there was a Saviour. This is evidenced by the fact that Christ was "The Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world (Rev.)"

Pastor Jack McKee
So that at the very moment that Adam sinned, God moved immediately not to judge, but to save. Though He knew what had happened, He still went to where Adam was; though He knew where Adam was, He still called out, "Adam, where are you?"; though He knew that Adam had sinned He did not abandon him, but announced His plan of salvation and immediately put it into action (Gen. 3 v 15).

From that day, throughout history and throughout the Scriptures, God has called men and women to respond to the evangelistic heartbeat of God by going in search of lost humanity for the purpose of drawing them back into a living and loving relationship with their Creator. For, “It is not God’s will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (John…)

The ultimate response to this call was that of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who “came to seek and to save that which is lost (Luke 19 v 10),” and having died for the sins of men, and triumphed over sin, death and the devil by His resurrection, He then commissioned His followers to “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel and to make disciples of all nations (Mth. 18 v 26).”

It is in response to this ‘Great Commission’ that we in Elim have appointed the office of Director of Evangelism who has likewise appointed the Irish Evangelism Team (IGNITE).
